Daniel Black
Founder & CEO

Daniel Black is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CollegeMatchers, Inc. He created CollegeMatchers in order to provide a free service, focused on students, to help alleviate the inefficiencies of the exchange market. Daniel’s vision and leadership will shape the future of the company. With multiple new aspects of the site launching in coming months, Daniel is eager to offer additional services that benefit students.

In May of 2011, Daniel will graduate from Claremont McKenna College with a dual-major in Economics and Government having also completed the Leadership Sequence. He has been involved with Claremont’s technology department for several years and enjoys working with technology. Academics aside, Daniel is very active in the field of entrepreneurship. During his junior year, he held the position of Investment Manager at Soleil Venture Management. To date, Daniel is involved with several ventures and hopes to one day become a venture capitalist. He is an avid cyclist, car enthusiast, and loves to eat.

Natalia Rachelson
CFO

Natalia Rachelson is the Chief Financial Officer for CollegeMatchers, Inc. and brings an extensive experience in e-Commerce and SaaS business models with strong emphasis on revenue recognition and SOX compliance. Natalia has worked in a variety of industries including software, hardware, telecommunications, and accounting services and held a number of management and leadership roles. Natalia has worked at several blue chip companies including Intuit, Oracle, and Hewlett Packard and started her career with a landmark public accounting firm, Arthur Andersen LLP.

Natalia is a CPA and a Member of the California Institute of Public Accountants. Natalia holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a B.S. in Commerce from DePaul University."

Drew Oetting
Vice President

Drew Oetting is the Vice President of CollegeMatchers Inc and has been with the company since early on in its infancy. Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, he is a sophomore at Claremont McKenna College majoring in economics and mathematics with a concentration in quantitative finance. He is a research assistant at the Lowe Institute for Political Economy, a member of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps varsity golf team, co-founder of the Claremont Club tennis team, chief analyst for the Claremont McKenna College Student Investment Fund and a tenor in the Claremont Shades acapella group.

Julian Buckner
MD of Consulting Services

Julian Buckner is the Managing Director of Consulting Services of CollegeMatchers Inc. He was recruited to the company the beginning of his freshman year, and after working on an aggressive expansion of the site, took over the fledgling consulting services division. Born and raised in Brookline, MA, he is currently attending Claremont McKenna College where he is pursuing a degree in Economics and Accounting with a concentration in Finance. He is active member of the CMC Student Investment Fund, competitor in this year's CFA Challenge, and avid scuba diver.

Elliot Godzich
Team Member

Elliot Godzich is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CollegeMatchers Inc. He joined the team in September 2009. Elliot is from Phoenix, AZ where he attended Veritas Preparatory Academy. He is currently studying computer science in a joint program with Claremont McKenna College and Harvey Mudd College and plans to graduate in 2012. At CMC, he works as a Residential Technical Assistant as well as a tutor for computer science classes. He is the co-founder of the Claremont physics club. He enjoys running and rock climbing.

Aravind Swaminathan
Team Member

Aravind Swaminathan is the Consulting Director of CollegeMatchers Inc. He is from Paradise Valley, Arizona where he was born and raised. Currently he is majoring in Economics-Accounting and Psychology with a sequence in Leadership Studies. He is a member of the Claremont McKenna Career Services Center and a member of the Be a Leader Foundation, centered in Arizona.

Nick Thompson
Team Member

Nick Thompson is the Vice President of Consulting for CollegeMatchers, Inc. Hailing from Kansas City, Nick is a voting member of the Associated Students of Claremont McKenna College (ASCMC) Senate and Firm Analyst for the Claremont Consulting Network. When he is not studying Economics and consulting for our CollegeMatchers partners, Nick tutors reading and mathematics at Sycamore Elementary School.

Jeff Park
Team Member

Jeff Park is the Advertising Director of CollegeMatchers Inc and has been with the company since early on in its infancy. He also is in charge of CollegeMatchers' Twitter account that is continuously updated with new information. He originally hails from New York, NY, but he attended high school in Boston. Currently, he is a junior at Claremont McKenna College. He is working towards a BA in Economics and History. Outside of school, he enjoys to play sports, especially Ultimate Frisbee.

Max Chambers
Team Member

Max Chambers is the Chief Data Officer (CDO) for CollegeMatchers. An OG CollegeMatcher of sorts, Max is from Portland, OR, and like most Slammin' Salmon enjoys skiing, following the Trail Blazers, and playing N64. Max is a sophomore at Claremont McKenna College where he dual Majors in Econ and Math with a Finance Sequence.

Matthew Shachar
Team Member

Matthew Shachar is the Global Sales Director of CollegeMatchers Inc, bringing our services north of the border to our Canadian offices. He is in his senior year at York University in Toronto, majoring in the honors criminology program. Matthew is a legal research assistant at the prestigious Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto as well as the Chief Finance Officer for the York University Campus Conservatives. With his experience as a marketing analyst in the vacation industry, Matthew brings a dynamic presence to the CollegeMatchersteam.

Juan Medina
Team Member

Juan Carlos Medina is the R&D Director and a developer for CollegeMatchers Inc. After being born and raised in Mexico, Juan Medina became a resident of Texas. Currently, he is a sophomore at Claremont McKenna College majoring in economics and engineering with emphasis on computer science and computer engineering. Medina is a founder and the president of The Physics Club at the Claremont Colleges. On his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and volunteering on various community service projects, such as Civitas and Colleges Against Cancer.

Jeffrey Weiss
Team Member

Jeffrey Weiss is a Recruiter for CollegeMatchers Inc. Hailing from Cupertino, California, he is a junior at Pitzer College majoring in Science and Management with a biotechnology focus. Jeffrey is actively involved in campus residential life as a Lead Mentor for their New Student Program and is the founder of the Claremont Colleges racquetball team.
